Instant License
The Dubai Economic Department (DED) has launched an initiative to cut down the time involved in the process of issuance of Commercial license. The initiative is called “Instant License”
Through this initiative, you can get a professional or commercial license in just 5 minutes.
The main objective behind this initiative is to cut down the time involved in the process of issuance of Commercial license by ninety per cent.
According to a senior official at DED, “Instant License” scheme is one of the most successful initiatives launched by DED since its inception. It has received positive feedback from different sectors including real estate developers and construction companies who have benefited from this scheme as well as other businesses across various industries such as retail outlets, restaurants, catering halls
Benefits of having Instant licenses are:
- Issued in 5 -10 minutes, Same day issuance
- Trade Name Registration, not required for the first year
- MOA not required for the first year
- No rent Contract required for the first year
- Can be applied via online or in person
Who can apply for an Instant License?
- Limited Liability Company
- One Person L.L.C.
- Sole Proprietorship
- Civil Company
Document requirements change depending on the channel you apply for the instant license.
When applying online via the DED E-Service portal, you will need to provide the required documents
When applying at a Service center or Smart Lounge, you will need to provide the required documents:
- Copies of the passports for all the license parties (partners and managers)
- A copy of UAE residence visa and Emirates ID of foreign partners.
- UAE Visit Visa Copy, if not holding a residence visa.
- NOC from the current sponsor.
- A copy of Sponsor’s Passport and visa.
