Commercial License
The Commercial License is issued to an individual or a company which wants to engage in commercial trade activity, goods can be imported and sold in the UAE, exported for sale outside the UAE, or traded solely within the UAE.
If you are a manufacturer, importer or exporter of goods and services, you will need to obtain a commercial license in Dubai. You can also get a commercial license if you want to become a trader and sell products in the UAE.
Additionally, it’s important to understand that a commercial license allows you to start your business anywhere in Dubai – not just in one specific area. This means that you can open your business in any neighborhood or district within the city without being limited by borders or boundaries.

Documents Required for Commercial License:
- A filled out the application form with the company’s name in Arabic and English.
- The original lease contract for the company’s registered address.
- Sponsor/partner MOA.
- Dubai Municipality Department sanctioning the permit for the use of office space as a business address for the company.
- Providing the License fee proof.
Renewal of the Commercial license in Dubai:
- The original or a copy of the trade license,
- A copy of the registered address lease contract.
- Concerned authority approvals if required.
- Information regarding employee accommodations for companies with foreign shareholder.
